It all started with a simple plan—my wife and I packed up our car and set out to explore India’s incredible heritage. Like most travelers, we had seen the famous monuments and tourist hubs. But this time, we wanted more—we wanted to go off the beaten path.
We ventured into small towns, ancient sites, and forgotten temples. Places where history whispers through stone walls and culture lives in everyday life. These were the kind of places most people overlook—and that made them all the more special.
Being a bit finicky when it comes to comfortable stays and good hospitality, we made it a point to find the best boutique stays, heritage homes, and family-run resorts that offered warmth, cleanliness, and great service.
